The orange line (outer is the branch line) this is the line from Canonbie to Dumfries via Gretna. The line will disappear quickly into the tunnel. At the back are two lines and the potential to hold probably 3 short trains.
The brown line (outer circuit) is the up line from Carlisle to Hawick. In theory trains leave Canonbie for Langholm and beyond.
The blue line (inner circuit) is the down line from Hawick to Carlisl. In theory traisn leave Canonbie and quickly cross Riddings Viaduct and so into England.
The idea is that the storage lines on both up and down lines will be automated with reeds, magnets and intergrated circuits.
The red lines is the yard at Canonbie. There is a turntable to add interest but I doubt if Canonbie would have needed a turntable.
