Surbiton
The second station of the holiday was Surbiton in south west London. The station proved to have better parking than it seemed at first sight but once inside things became more convoluted.
The frontage whicih shows the distinctive architecture as explained in 100 Best Railwasy Stations.
The barrier could be negotiated by pressig the assistance button and waiting for it to be entered by the man at the far end. On going to explain to him the purpose of the visit he spoke to his supervisor and it proved necessary to then go onto the patform to visit the said supervisor (taking photos on the way). The supervisor had a visitors book to sight, the first time such a things has proved necessary in the 82 stations visited to ths point.
