Work began on the Doll's House in late 1994. Building work began in Easter 1995. Progress has been slow since and pretty much stoped about 2015 as it was intended to be handed on but with no space for it to go. It was a good conversation piece in our various homes until I retired and we moved to Leyland. The Doll’s house now shares the garage with the Model Railway. In 2025 I decided that I will dismantle the house and instead use the space to create Room Boxes. Thereore, the Doll’s House section of the website is changing.
There is now be a new Doll’s Houses Page. This will include a link to the previous Doll’s House page, but also entries for Doll’s Houses I have visited.
The house is Georgian in style and is 'inspired' by Fairfax House in York which provides a useful guide to what is appropriate for the period.
