Cholmondeley Soldiers (at Houghton Hall)

Houghton Hall contains one of the largest collections of model soldiers in the world. They were assembled and mounted starting in 1928 by the sixth Marquess of Cholmodeley. I am hoping that the descriptinos below are correct.

I think this was one of a few Austrian civilian and military scenes about 1890.

The first large picture had 2,000 figures, the second, 3,000. There are about 20,000 figures in the collection, of varying scales.
