We had planned to go to Scotland for a week but had to abandon that plan and instead had a couple of days based on the East Side of Leeds. Virtually next door was Temple Newsam, council owned Historic House originally built by the Knights Templars.
Despite being October parts of the vast walled garden was spectacular, as were the autumn colours in the grounds. The inside of the house was grand, but with relatively few rooms to visit but one did contains a Doll’s House.
